Storage shelf with concealed brackets thus giving the appearance of floating.When I have the need to produce floating shelves I have the metal brackets custom made and that is what is shown in the drawings. It is realised that not every one as the contacts to produce bespoke metal work therefore I have included the names of suppliers that produce alternative metal work.

Bulit up skirting
The drawing shows a typical built up moulding and in this case a deep skirting board. This is the method I use when replacing existing skirting board.

Architrave corner blocks

Repairing a joist after undue notching has taken place
We have all found that some joists are a little worse for wear after undue notching and drilling as taken place, to accommodate all sorts of needs in the past. In this guide gives you an idea of how to strengthening the joist, by laminating the affected area with plywood or OSB “ Oriented strand board” Existing joist laminated with18mm plywood OSB glued each side and fixed with m10 coach bolts. It is recommended that length of the repair lamination is 1m from the edge of the notch in both directions if possible
